JIMBRANDT
A native of Kankakee County and born a farm boy outside of Manteno, Jim got the bug for radio as a child. He enjoyed listening to music and sports. He even did a little public speaking in high school and got the idea for radio when someone suggested he'd be a good announcer.
Jim attended college locally at Kankakee Community College and finished at Illinois State University where his radio career began at WGLT Public Radio, he then made his way back to the area working at WKAN for several years and since May of 1995 Jim has been with "The Valley". Jim is now the midday host on "The Valley". What he loves most about being a DJ are the friends he's made with listeners, coworkers and employers. Jim loves the challenge of keeping things moving and keeping you in the know while playing as much music as possible.
